What is Vinyasa Flow and why are your classes yoga/literary puns?
My classes have yoga/literary pun names because each class is influenced by a particular book. Please see the 'Reading List' tab to see what books I've been using recently and if there's a novel that you love and would like to see turned into a class please get in touch with me!
Vinyasa means "breath-synchronised movement," and Vinyasa yoga consists of sequences of poses that move with inhalation and exhalation. Vinyasa movements are smoothly flowing and almost dance-like, which explains why it is sometimes referred to as Vinyasa Flow or just Flow. This dance like rhythm is enhanced in my class by the use of music. I am happy to teach everyone from complete beginners to advanced yogis, everyone will be able to get something out of my classes no matter their level. I always offer modifications and variations so that you can tailor your practise to your individual needs.
